10.8.16 Kathleen & Mike’s Wedding

Kathleen & Mike

On October 8, 2016, we had the honor of catering Kathleen & Mike’s wedding. We have been fortunate to know Kathleen for a long time as she has worked on our front of house team on and off over the past several years. She & Mike had a great vision for their celebration, focusing on all the right (in our opinon!) things: supportive friends & family, good food & drinks and a fun atmosphere. Their wedding took place at Swiss Hall in the Germantown neighborhood of Louisville. Their ceremony incorporated many personal elements including a point where the brid10-8-16-kathleen-mikee & groom thanked each member of the bridal party individually and explained how and why their relationship was so important to them. It was really meaningful for everyone to get to hear their stories. The reception began with several passed appetizers and drinks. Following that, several of the members of the bridal party gave really nice speeches, reinforcing the personal tone to the evening. We opened up a large appetizer station with all sorts of yummy bites in the heavy appetizer style. There was a square dance caller and band which got everyone up and dancing. The groom’s mother, who is a pastry chef, made a delicious cake which everyone enjoyed. The evening ended with more dancing and still more eating. We were so happy to be involved with Kathleen & Mike’s wedding and wish them all the good things in the future!
