On Friday, June 13 we had the pleasure of catering Carla & Joel’s wedding at Copper & Kings in Butchertown. They wanted to create a relaxed, intimate feel, so the top two floors of this cool new brandy distillery were the perfect spot. After the ceremony, cocktail hour was on the top floor, overlooking the city. The evening sun made the whole scene magical. Of course, Copper & Kings incredible brandy was mixed into one of their signature cocktails, the Brandy Old Fashioned, and paired with our guacamole & veggie empanadas. The guests went down to the second floor for a family style dinner where we served everyone at long tables. Mayan salad, chicken mole, salmon in tequila-lime-achiote sauce, lima beans … the food and drinks were flowing! Back up on the floor later, we served cake and everyone danced late into the night, enjoying the absolutely incredible view Copper & Kings skydeck offers. It was a lovely night for two lovely people!
