Mayan Market Monday featuring Duncan Farm – August 15

Take Farm to Table dining to a new level!

This evening, August 15, we are featuring Sarah & John Duncan as our showcased farm for our Mayan Market Monday dinners.  We have had one of our longest farm partnerships with Duncan Farm. Since the 2nd year we were open, we have been buying eggs from Sarah & John. Now, nearly 3 years later, we are still using their eggs as well as their rabbit. Our rabbit entree (served in a Yucatec mole over a Mayan pim tortilla with cabbage & bacon) has been a hit with many of our customers. This evening, our specials will include a canteloupe lemonade as well as a quinoa salad with green beans & tomatoes. Our entree will be a rabbit burrito filled with succotash in a roasted corn-tomatillo sauce and topped with 2 fried eggs. Sarah & John will be here for the evening, selling their goods & sharing their stories.  Eating farm-fresh food is one thing; eating that food alongside the farmer is a whole other experience! Don’t miss it!

If you missed the event but would like to try some of Sarah & John’s products,  you can find Duncan Farm items for your family at the Bardstown Road Farmers Market, in the Highlands, on Saturdays.
