On April 22, 2017, we had the treasure pleasure of catering the wedding of two very special people – Emily & Andrew. These two met while working with us at the Mayan Cafe, and though they don’t live in Louisville anymore, came back to celebrate with friends and family here. Being included in their celebration was very special for us as they are wonderful people and made such a lasting impression on our restaurant. The ceremony & reception were held at a retreat center in Jefferson Memorial Forest, a beautiful natural setting for the day. An intimate ceremony was followed by a heavy appetizer spread. Everyone spread through the building, enjoying beer, wine and mimosas. Emily’s aunt had made an incredible (and delicious!) cupcake display with 4 or 5 different flavors of cupcakes. Salted caramel and s’mores were some of the most memorable choices. Guests drank, danced and ate throughout the afternoon and many folks stayed into the evening and camped overnight. It was a wonderful time for everyone and most particularly for us as we hold both Emily & Andrew close in our hearts.
