10.17.15 Emily & Ben’s wedding

On Saturday, October 17, we had catered Emily & Ben’s wedding at the Tim Faulkner Gallery in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville. This is a newer art/music warehouse space that is an incredibly cool place to have a wedding. Emily & Ben really wanted to showcase and play up the vibe that the venue has, so they decorated with textured black & white linens, tall colored branch arrangements on the tables and multi-colored patio lights.

Their ceremony was in the art gallery space and then the party moved over to the bar & music space. They offered several beers, wines & bourbons at the bar while we passed appetizers through the crowd. Dinner was a buffet with an autumn salad, cochinita pibil, fried plantains & roasted seasonal vegetables. Perhaps the best part of the evening was when Hi-Five Donuts pulled their donut truck through the garage door and parked next to the dinner tables. The bride & groom cut a fun-fetti cake and everyone ate donuts and drank bourbon late into the night. This couple really knew how to create an awesome atmosphere and a seriously fun party! We were thrilled to be a part of the celebration.
